Through light and shadow, story and silence, art becomes the bridge—holding space for what was, what is, and what longs to be seen. Moving between worlds, the artist becomes the vessel—conveying the unspoken. Art is a selfish act in a selfless way.
A Casting was shortlisted for the Errazuriz Wine Photographer of the Year award, capturing a winemaker casting nets over the vines in a quiet ritual of care. Described as "a delicate, ethereal image that transforms the vineyard into a snow-dusted dreamscape," the photograph reimagines the ordinary, turning a fleeting moment into something timeless. A Casting was featured in Club Oenologique Magazine's showcase of the shortlisted entries, celebrating the artistry woven into winemaking’s unseen rhythms.
Vulnerable is an intimate exploration of fragility and strength. Part of Jenani Therone’s Passion At Heart collection, it unveils the quiet beauty of openness—where light meets raw emotion. A reminder that true strength lies not in armour, but in the courage to be seen.
Audacity in Silence lingers in the wake of fire. The charred silhouettes of eucalyptus stand defiant, their forms blurred as if dissolving into the smoke-laden air. Light struggles through the rising haze, swallowed by the remnants of destruction. Here, silence is defiance, and movement is memory, as the land endures in quiet audacity.
In Flanders Fields is a tribute born from Of Service—inspired by veterans, shaped by remembrance. A single red poppy, bathed in light and shadow, is more than a symbol; it is a quiet echo of sacrifice, resilience, and memory. With this work, the story continues—proceeds extending Of Service, ensuring every voice is heard.
Contrast, Conflict & Compromise is a still life suspended between tension and resolution—a quiet reckoning of identity and belonging. Light and shadow, softness and structure, rootedness and displacement; opposing forces meet, neither yielding nor dominating, but shaping each other in silent negotiation. Finalist for the Tacit 20[2020] Still Life Prize, this work is a meditation on the art of balance within the self.
Of Service is a testament to resilience, honour, and the untold journeys of Australian veterans. Through fine art portraiture and deeply personal narratives, it sheds light on the weight of service, the struggle for identity, and the silent battles of mental health.
